TBODY tags have often eluded me. To date I was not aware that MIVA is putting those in. They do perhaps use them in their default templates. But you should be able to take those out. What you put into the templates is supposed to be just what you get in the templates.
FYI: I have noticed that Dreamweaver itself has tossed in some TBODY tags from time to time. I just take them out and they seem to stay that way.
