Those Pesky TBODY tags - 2005/11/14 10:04 Miva seems to add TBODY tags when various sections of the page are being assembled. These often come up as invalid construction when you look at the final rendered page in a program like Dreamweaver. Typically the tag is either not closed or there is a closing tag that is not correctly matched with an opening tag.

The problem is that when you are debugging a page you have enough problems without being distracted by invalid TBODY tag constructions. They make you wonder if they are showing you what your problem is or whether they just distract you from the problem

Perhaps this only happens when you put your own HTML tables in your page templates or in other sections like footings.

Is there a good reason for these TBODY tags? Can they just be ingnored? If not can they be turned off somehow? If they truly help point out problems, then how can I determine when and where Miva will add TBODY tags.

Regards, Mike
