Just create a standard link to purchase the product however you want. For the URL to the product you use:
http://www.yourdomain.com/Merchant5/merchant.mvc?Screen=BASK&Product_Code={prodcode}&Quantity=1&Action=ADPR
Replacing the {prodcode} with whatever product you want added to the basket. The next screen provided will be the shopping basket screen as dictated by the BASK value.
If you intend to have attributes you would need to do something more sophisticated like a small form.
